A rash of car break-ins at a local dog park during Labor Day weekend has some owners concerned.

FOX 12 spoke with a woman whose SUV window was shattered and her purse stolen despite having a car alarm.

Police told us there were three car break-ins and one attempted break-in here at Hondo Park, in just two days.

And they still haven't caught the person responsible.

Ivy Madik is still finding pieces of glass in her white Jeep Liberty.

She said she brought her pup Mary Jane to Hondo Dog Park, for the first time Saturday, when someone broke into it.

And hers was not the only car damaged. Police told FOX 12, there were two break-ins and one attempted break-in on Saturday and another car break-in on Sunday.

In each case, the victims were women. All but one had their purses stolen, with credit cards and valuable information inside.

"I was actually facing toward this way the entire time because my park was right there. So, I don't really know how I didn't see it or didn't notice,” Madik said.

"I feel like this would be the perfect place to break in because everyone is so occupied with their pets and other people that no one is going to pay attention,” she added.

Madik said a friend who was with her also had her car's window shattered, but the suspect didn't entirely break through the glass.

Madik is concerned because all of the three victims from Saturday, had car alarms that somehow, the alleged burglar was able to disarm. She's also worried because her license, social security card and birth certificate were inside her stolen purse.

She's still hoping someone will find and return them to her.

Right now, police do not have a detailed description of the suspect.

However, if you recently visited Hondo Park and witnessed anyone acting suspiciously around the parking lot, contact police.
