The mother of two murder suspects accused of sexually assaulting and killing a 16-year-old boy in Lewis County, Washington is now facing the charge of rendering criminal assistance.
Lewis County deputies arrested 43-year-old Kindra Rose Adamson of Randle on Tuesday.
Adamson is the mother of 16-year-old Benito S. Marquez and 21-year-old Jonathan R. Adamson. Those two were arrested and face charges of murder and rape in connection with the death of Ben Eastman III.
Eastman was reported as a runaway or possible missing person June 27. He lived with his father in Randle, Washington and was last seen June 23.
Deputies located his body in a shallow grave in a wooded area off Cispus Road on June 28.
Court documents state the brothers lured Eastman into the woods for a camping trip, where they viciously assaulted him, killed him, buried his body and burned his clothes. Eastman died of blunt force trauma.
Detectives initially described Marquez as a “friend” of the victim. Marquez was booked into the Lewis County Juvenile Detention Center and Jonathan Adamson was booked into the Lewis County Jail.
Deputies said the arrest of Kindra Adamson was based on her “actions and knowledge of the crime after the homicide, but prior to the arrest of the two suspects.”
Kindra Adamson was arrested in Yakima County, with the assistance of the Yakima County Sheriff’s Office and U.S. Marshals Service.
