Portland police say two men robbed and assaulted a juvenile male at a southeast Portland public pool Wednesday.

The alleged robbery and assault occurred at Creston Outdoor Pool in the 4400 block of Southeast Powell Boulevard just before 12:30 a.m.

The juvenile was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

He told police he was by the pool with his friends when the two men approached and started going through their belongings. He said the men were between 18 and 21-years-old.

One of them was described as Asian with a medium build and a goatee. He was wearing all black, police said.

The second suspect was described as African American with a faded haircut. He was wearing all white clothing, according to police.

The juvenile male said he contacted the men and was assaulted. Investigators believe one of the men hit the juvenile male with the hard surface of a firearm.

After the alleged assault, both suspects left the pool and ran off toward Southeast Powell Boulevard, police said. There were no reports of gunfire.
