Three people were killed in a single-vehicle crash near Canby Tuesday morning.

The crash happened around 5:30 a.m. on Dryland Road.

According to the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, the vehicle hit a tree and was cut in half.

The driver, a woman in her 20's, was taken to an area hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash. The extent of her injuries are unknown at this time. Three passengers, all men in their 20's, were pronounced dead at the scene.

The sheriff's office said the fire department has been called out to the scene to extricate one of the victims that is still in the vehicle.

Speed and/or alcohol may have been a factor in the crash, according to the sheriff's office.

Drivers should avoid the area and expect traffic delays.
